alfer® was founded in 1972 in Wutöschingen-Horheim, in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The location in the Wutachtal region between the High Rhine and the southern Black Forest in the heart of Europe has helped the company become a specialist in aluminium profiles.
There are few metals with such great future potential as aluminium. The southern German region is Europe’s largest cohesive economic area for the manufacture and processing of aluminium, which led to it acquiring the name aluvalley®.
Although alfer® predominantly focused on the markets in Germany and its neighbouring countries until 2003, the company has operated successfully throughout Europe since 2004 and is well on the way to becoming the Europe-wide market leader.
