Repair work on stone and wooden stairs

"With stone stairs first a galvanized repair bracket is screw-fastened in front of the edge. If there is a lot of unevenness it must be equalized beforehand so that the repair bracket lays over the entire length. This is done with repair putty. After cleaning, the steps are pre-coated with an artificial rubber agent and filled with repair putty. This levels out the worn areas. Then the PVC step edging profiles are bonded with rubber adhesive, or metal edge profiles are screw-fastened, onto the edges that accept the covering on the step and that lie flush on the vertical step.
Wooden stairs can be repaired in the same manner as stone stairs. There is a different repair possibility that involves leveling the uneven points of the step after cleaning and after a rubber pre-coat with repair putty and then screwing on plywood pieces that have been cut to size. Stabilize the step by screwing on galvanized repair brackets. After the pre-coat with an artificial liquid rubber solution and filling as needed, the step edging profiles are installed as described for the stone stairs."
