Tips about combitech®
combitech® system profiles
combitech® – alignment grooves
combitech® is immediately recognizable by the grooves in the profiles – alignment grooves. A combitech® round tube for instance has four grooves spaced out at 90º. These alignment grooves show you where to place the drill to drill a hole and allow you to align as many holes as you want along the entire length of the profile.
You can also see where the drill has to come out directly opposite when you are drilling through. But it is even easier to just turn the tube around and drill through from the opposite side – just like tunnel building. And all of a sudden, your own clothes bar is hanging neatly from the hat rack on three threaded bars! It's easy!
combitech® – fitting on and in each other
combitech® is also immediately recognizable for the fact that threaded rods with the metric threads M5, M8, M12, M16, M20, and theoretically also M24 and M30, will fit into round tubes. This means that there are seven different tubes available for use.
You can also see that these combitech® round tubes fit into one another. And because the threaded rods and tubes fit into the tubes, the threaded rods and tubes have similar external dimensions although the tubes require slightly more tolerance due to their production process.
combitech® – matching each other
If you look even more closely at combitech®, it differs greatly from other standard profiles in that it offers over 100 different profiles which all fit together one way or another. Because the round tubes fit with other round tubes and other profile dimensions match those of the round tubes, square tubes fit square tubes, round tubes fit into square tubes, angles fit square tubes, flat rods fit right angle tubes, etc., and even threaded rods fit square tubes. Everything in combitech® is based on M5, M8, M12, M16, M20, M24 and M30.
