Aluminium – a versatile light metal!
Shiny, silvery aluminium has become a permanent feature of everyday life. We are confronted with its versatility almost everywhere. For example, it makes trains, cars, ships, and airplanes lighter and therefore helps us to save fuel. It is the basis of a wide range of industrial products and also makes itself noticeably helpful in the home and in the DIY and trade sector.
This is all possible because aluminium displays a series of attractive properties. It is light yet strong and is easy to process mechanically. Above all, aluminium is non-toxic, rust-proof, has unlimited applications, and is 100% recyclable.
Our managing director, Mr Thomas Wilbs, recognized all these benefits about 30 years ago and developed a range of aluminium profiles for DIY and professional purposes which is unique in its kind. This was followed by flat bars, angles, U-profiles, round bars, rectangular tubes, and a variety of other profiles to meet the requirements of our many creative customers.
The aluminium DIY and professional assortment is exclusively anodized and supplied in lengths of 1 m and 2 m. The existing aluminium range was also extended with a variety of different materials such as PVC, stainless steel, and brass.
Steel profiles with special finishes
And then there is our new steel profile range which is finished with the new special surface treatment and already has a deep rust-proof primer, enabling other processes such as varnishing or welding to be done immediately. Pre-treatment or primer is not required. Our steel profiles can also be easily hot-galvanized after their usual pre-treatment with a suitable degreaser.
